On June 3, 2023, the Regional Library of the city of Kyustendil participated in the International Conference “Touch the World “Out of the Net”, Sofia under the project “Out of the Net” – Erasmus + Program – Strategic Partnership 2020-1-PL01-KA201-082223, co-financed by the EU. The library team presented its initiatives that help to neutralize the negative trends of social isolation. In the Children’s Department of the library, activities with children are divided into three areas:

1. Activities: flash mob “The books that connect us”, “It’s summer, come to the library!”, “We learn and have fun”.
2. Freedom: book review, meeting with authors, class in the library.
3. Liveliness: “Art and children in the library.”
   The given examples from the activities of the Children’s Department of the Regional Library, Kyustendil, reveal the possibilities of all public libraries as a place where the negative tendencies of social isolation can be neutralized.
